I have finished 3 books on my holiday – far fewer than I wanted, but still not a bad number. I sat on the couch with a book after dinner and read until I had finished it, something I hadn't done in long enough that I was starting to fear I was no longer a reader. Leaving the Atocha Station is a novel by a poet about poetry. It's still one of my favorite books that I've read this year, and an absolutely fascinating wrestle with modernism and post-modernism. Its protagonist is unsympathetic if sometimes disturbingly relatable.
